This story happened after I had a bout of daydreaming during which
I wondered what if a Companion was unable to go on Search, but their Chosen was in trouble? Companion Kaya
turned up and proceeded, over four chapters (an expansion on the original length of oneshot) to help me explain,
with a good dose of humour, how such a scenario might occur.

Twist is told in third person, and each chapter is
split. The first half follows around Kaya; a Companion who is-- for reasons best explained by herself-- on Search
for her best friend's Chosen, and the second half being with Retsin, a young noble who unwittingly finds himself corralled
into helping Kaya with her plans.
